The Rangers are in Pittsburgh tonight to face the Penguins and in Philly on Black Friday to meet the Flyers. New York looks to rebound after a disappointing 6-3 loss to the Stars. The lineup remains the same, save for Jonathan Quick looks to be between the pipes tonight.

Vincent Trocheck and his family opened their home to provide the players a home-cooked Thanksgiving dinner, continuing a tradition that began last season. First, the amount and different kinds of foods served was staggering. Second, the quotes from Chris Kreider and coach Peter Laviolette, the latter on Trocheck having Will Cuylle live with him, his wife and his two kids, show you all you need to know on Trocheck's character and how important chemistry can be on a team. Sometimes that is an overlooked quality, but it has shined through so far with this squad.

They served chicken parm, rigatoni, arancini, meatballs, linguine with shrimp and scallops, chicken cutlets, braciole and so much more.

“It means a lot for a guy to open his home,” Chris Kreider told The Post. “The year can be long and there’s a lot of time spent on the road, so it’s incredibly generous and kind of him and his family to spend the time to give the team a nice home-cooked meal in the middle of a fairly significant road trip.

“That means a lot to the group. Obviously, reflects incredibly well on him and his upbringing.”

“It says a lot about him as a person and a teammate,” head coach Peter Laviolette said. “The fact that he takes in Will and watching out for a younger player. He invites the team to dinner. Just a quality person looking out for his team and his teammates.”

Adam Fox skated again in a no-contact jersey, continuing his recovery from his lower body injury. Each day he skates with no setbacks lends credence to Fox returning when first  eligible November 29 against Detroit. When he returns, Zac Jones, who has been better than expected but up-and-down overall, heads to the bench. If cap room is needed, New York could place Filip Chytil, still sidelined with a concussion, on LTIR if he remains out.

Tonight would be a good night for either or both Mika Zibanejad and Kaapo Kakko to get going. Zib usually relishes his match up against Sindey Crosby and will have his hands full on both sides of the ice. Kakko scored a flukey goal in the loss to Dallas, so maybe that jumpstarts his game.
