The Rangers continue their road trip in Dallas tonight after a 5-3 win Saturday in New Jersey. New York is in the midst of a stretch of four straight road games with contests against Pittsburgh and Philadelphia to follow the match up against Dallas. The Stars lead the Central while the Blueshirts are on top of the Metro adding to the intrigue of the contest. One change for the Stars is that Scott Wedgwood and not Jake Oettingwr will be between the pipes.

Tonight’s lineup will be the same as Saturday’s:

Kreider-Zibanejad-Wheeler
Panarin-Trocheck-Lafrenière
Cuylle-Bonino-Kakko
Vesey-Goodrow-Pitlick

Miller-Trouba
Lindgren-Gustafsson
Jones-Schneider

Shesterkin
Quick

Scratches: Mackey IR: Chytil LTIR: Fox

More good news on Adam Fox. After finding out he skated Friday, Fox was in a red, non-contact jersey today with the team in Dallas. Fox is eligible to return November 29 against Detroit, and given how he is progressing, he would seem to be on pace to meet that date. No updates on Filip Chytil, and no news in this case should not be viewed a positive.

Vince Mercogliano is not in Dallas with the team but back east and was in Hartford with the Wolf Pack. He provided updates on two depth defensemen. Ben Harpur will be out the remainder of the year with a pectoral injury, see video below. In addition, Mac Hollowell has also been sidelined with an injury, though he is expected back this week. These bits of news provide clarity now as to why Connor Mackey was promoted when Fox was injured.
