Quick hit here….

The Oilers are obviously sold on Skinner in net, and I do agree the kid has a huge future ahead of him. Personally I would give Jack Campbell another shot in the Oiler’s net as he has proven himself before in high pressure games, and we still could see this play out….

However….the trade draft is around the corner and the trade winds are already starting to blow….

A source today told me there are two scenarios he is hearing among GMs…

1. Campbell would be moved at the draft to Buffalo. The Sabres staff has worked with him before on Team USA and has a strong belief in his abilities…

2. Campbell would be moved as part of a package that would finalize a trade for Erik Karlsson. This trade came close to happening but the sides were about 5 million apart…enter Campbell. A solid goalie for San Jose’s rebuild?

The Goalie market is really scarce right now…If the Oilers are sure Skinner is their guy they will have no problem move into Jack…
