Everyone is wondering what will give with the current RFA's? With the top players, offer sheets aren't going to happen....That much we know. Someone has to give...and that will have to be the teams...So will teams give on term or number? All indications are the term.
Darren Dreger reported today the Mitch Marner is now talking about a 3-5 year deal. If that happens the Leafs gave up Marleau, Zaitsev, and Brown for 3-5 years of Marner at around 9 per... That is crazy.
But if this happens we will see the other RFA's follow suit...and they will be going from RFA's to UFAs in a few short years...
The only thing close to an offer sheet I am hearing has to do with Aho in Carolina. I have been told the Canadiens are talking to Carolina about a possible trade for Aho....and they are hanging an offer sheet over them...I have heard Drouin could be headed back to Carolina in an Aho trade...
