Just a quick hit here today to start…
She seems to be a lot of smoke around a three-year contract for Connor McDavid… The Oilers obviously want a longer deal, but it makes sense for a player who’s going to be getting paid near the max salary to sign shorter deals…. In three years, the max salary will be higher than it is now, so why take the max salary in 2025 for the next eight years?
