Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Flyers D-man Provorov is once again in trade rumors...
My thoughts on this....
In no way to disrespect Elliotte Friedman, who is unquestionably one of the best and most connected insiders out there, but talking to my Philly sources I feel that this is not the case...any more...
There was a point, for sure, pre Tortorella, where there was a big divide in the Flyers room...Provorov was very unhappy with last year's compete level and was rubbing a lot of players the wrong way...I even heard from two different sources that Provorov was called out for his actions in a few exit interviews by other players...
There was a point last February when a deal with Vegas was absolutely on the table...
However, currently Provorov is NOT being shopped, however, with the Flyers struggles there are plenty of teams bargain hunting and there is ZERO doubt that other teams are calling about Provorov...His stock is still high as are this minutes under Torts...
Could he still be moved?
Of course.With the exception of Carter Hart, anything is possible. But the offer would have to be "over the top" per a Philly source this morning. Tortorella is all about work ethic and Provorov is very much on that page.
