The GM meetings are today and they are virtual. So, no Boca this year...

However there are some very serious topics in play, and the biggest my be the NHL's current standing on whether or not they want to be sending their players to China for the games.

The atrocities and genocide taking place in China is horrific and the world knows better than to just turn away from such humanitarian travesties. There is a very good chance that the USA and Canada may not choose to go to the games at all. And there are some out there who say the athletes are the ones who suffer. That there is no place for politics in sports. I agree that politics and sports should be kept apart...but genocide is NOT politics. Its mass scale murder. No political side supports murder.,

There has been some talk that the NHL players would play their Olympics in North America. I cant see the Olympic Committee agreeing to that.

It is possible that the NHL offers up another World Cup of Hockey to be played at the same time as the Olympics...

That is no Olympics, but also much safer.

What say you?
