Lots of rumblings today....I just spoke to a high ranking NHL exec who said, "Feels like a big trade day is coming here...either today or this weekend...some dominoes are set up and ready to be tipped..."

Start here.

On Kevin Hayes:

Hayes is getting a lot of attention out there as he is a pending UFA in NY and has had a solid year, at times looking like one of the more consistent Rangers. The Sharks, Wild, and Oilers are all names I heard today. Vegas could also have interest...although I am starting to hear the Knights are looking elsewhere...

On Tyson Barrie:

Barrie is no stranger to the rumor mill, but he hasn't been on the Mill for almost a year...until today. Many are watching him now. The NJ Devils, Canadiens, Panthers and Oilers have interest...although I have heard it's highly unlikely that Sakic moves him to the Western Conference...

On Matt Duchene:

Despite what they are saying publicly, the Sens are starting to sound quietly confident about extending Duchene...The belief is once Duchene is extended Stone gets a lot easier...

On Gostisbehere:

I have been asked several times about Ghost being on the market and why I haven't put him on the Trade Rumor Chart as of yet...The answer is simple...Ghost isn't going anywhere until the Flyers feel confident about signing Provorov, and as of now the signs with Provorov aren't that great...and some are bracing for a long negotiation with Provo.. IF the Flyers knew they had Provorov in place I do believe they would entertain offers for Gostisbehere.

more to come...
