Hello, from Penticton!

The smoke has cleared and it's a classic Okanagan day outside. I was able to get out for a run this morning ahead of today's game:

We're now about 10 minutes away from puck drop between the Canucks and Flames. I'll give you a quick update on the lineup, and we can use this blog for today's game thread.

Up front:

Molino - McKenzie - Boeser
Gadjovich - MacEwen - Lind
Carcone - Corneil - D'Aoust
Stukel - Moynihan - Laplante

Scratched: Luchuk, Berisha

Defense:

Juolevi - Irving
Brisebois - Candella
Stewart - Barberis

Scratched: Brassard, Chatfield

Jalen Chatfield took that hard hit against Winnipeg on Friday, but returned to the game and was given a clean bill of health.

Goal:

Michael DiPietro starts, with Michael Garteig backing up.

Thatcher Demko gets the day off today, but I've heard that the coaching staff wants him to get as much action as possible. I'm guessing he'll be back in net for the tournament finale tomorrow afternoon.

If you haven't watched it net, take half an hour to go through Bob McKenzie's in-depth interview with Jim Benning from earlier this weekend. Benning dissects the roster in detail and drops a few hints on what we might expect next season.

My biggest surprise: hearing that Travis Green is leaning toward starting Sam Gagner with the Sedins!

For today's game, you can catch the live stream on YouTube or on Canucks.com. On radio, check out Brendan Batchelor and Corey Hirsch on the new Sportsnet 650.

Game on!
