The San Jose Sharks have selected forward Ozzy Wiesblatt with the 31st overall pick in this year’s NHL Draft.

The pick was originally acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning at the trade deadline, in exchange for Barclay Goodrow.

Wiesblatt scored 25 goals and 70 points in 64 games with the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders this season. He was on my list of players who I thought the Ducks could take at 27th overall and I think this is a solid pick for the Sharks at 31st overall.

Wiesblatt could become a top-six forward but at minimum, he's likely to be a middle-six forward in the NHL.
