The Wild took care of business last night with an impressive 3-2 win over the Golden Knights in Vegas.
Last night's win increased the Wild streak over the Golden Knights to 5-0-1.

There were a number of factors that led to the Wild victory above the level of desperation in which they played.

First one being some suspect goaltending in the Vegas crease, as was evident on Greg Pateryn's first goal in a Wild sweater coming off a shot triggered from below the goal line.

We all know good things happen when you put the puck to the net and Pateryn was rewarded for doing so.

Second one being the return of Joel Eriksson Ek who despite being a -1, while delivering 3 hits, but his presence allowed Boudreau to construct more complete lines. That paid off in the end when Vegas drew within a goal and were bringing everything they had in an effort to knot the score.

Third was the stellar play of Devan Dubnyk in the Wild net with his miraculous save in the second period on Mark Stone combined with some ten bell stops as time expired.

The bad news of course was that Colorado was able to beat Arizona in a shootout to maintain their four point lead over the Wild as well as extend the lead over the Coyotes to three points.

Tomorrow it is the Coyotes and another chance to draw a bit closer.
