Been looking around a lot today trying to get to the bottom of several cryptic texts from scouts and sources tied to Nylander and the ongoing situation....
The most surprising rumor circulating (and I was also just told this by a source in the press box for the Isles and Panthers) is that the Leafs have actually had some discussions involving Dougie Hamilton for Nylander...
However, the Leafs are not acting like they NEED to trade Nylander and one team which had been talking to the Leafs as late as Tuesday told me they now believe that a bridge deal is LESS likely and the Leafs are at least acting like they could sign Nylander to an 8 year term...
