Toronto Maple Leafs were pleased earlier this month to hear that long time play-by-play man Joe Bowen and color commentator Jim Ralph would be the radio broadcast tandem for the next five years, but Sportsnet will have a new TV play-by-play man for their mid-week broadcasts.
Newmarket, ON native John Bartlett is replacing the departing Paul Romanuk for regional Leafs games and select national broadcasts according to a statement by Sportsnet on Thursday.
Bartlett was the play-by-play man for the AHL Toronto Marlies for six years, but left in 2011 to become the English radio play-by-play voice of the Canadiens for TSN 690 in Montreal and last season handled regional coverage of the Habs on TV for TSN.

Maple Leafs first round pick Rasmus Sandin is participating in the 2018 Cologne Cup, a tournament involving club teams from Switzerland and the Swedish Hockey League.
The 18-year-old blueliner had two assists for Rögle BK in a 6-2 win over Örebro HK.
Sandin, who was selected 29th overall by the Leafs at the NHL Draft in Dallas, scored 45 points for the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds last season, but is still unclear whether he will return to North America for another season or complete the year left on his SHL contract with Rogle.
