There are big rumors swirling today that the Vegas Golden Knights are willing to take on big contracts as long as a team sends a number 1 pick as well to Vegas .

The first of these rumors today: Bobby Ryan.

The Rumor is the Knights would get Bobby Ryan and a first round pick in the deal. Bobby Ryan's stock has grown a lot from his amazing playoff run, and there is no doubt McPhee really likes him as a player and a building block.

McPhee is in the unique position where he can take on a big contract and Ottawa can get out from under the contract if they are facing other Cap issues.

This is just one example of the kinds of deals McPhee is looking into.
