Good Ain't Good Enough NYR 2 - NYI 1
Last night's game lived up to the hype, but the outcome wasn't what Isles fans were hoping for. An exciting and close game, but one riddled with mistakes and turnovers that led the Isles to lose by one putting the Rangers within ONE in the standings.
There is plenty of blame to go around, mostly on the power play, but also on certain players. But it may have been fatigue that was mostly to blame.

The #isles looked tired after playing 3 games in basically 4 days. #rangers had a little more gas, motivated to catch up maybe; now bk 1 pt

13 back to back Games as apposed to 8 for the the RAG$ lopsided much?... games in hand fatigue is a factor #isles

@nspilk this killed me. Great game but we had no legs after the first period. Playing back to back to games is very tough. #isles
Jack may not use it as an excuse, but he can't deny it doesn't play a factor. Then there was Brian Strait.

If Brian Strait takes one more penalty in a crucial moment I will buy him a plane ticket out of the country.

Strait had zero clue of what to do with possession in the corner. Zero clue.
And then there was Josh Bailey's great play to bring the puck into the Rangers' zone and fail on the shot. That got a lot of social media time too.

Josh Bailey just had to not score ON A BREAKAWAY

I still hate josh bailey and think he deserves to be sat, awful player

And that's why Josh Bailey cannot get 1st line minutes in a big game. Zillions of chances no goals #isles

If I had $1 for every time josh bailey didn't live up to expectations of a top 5 draft pick.... id be pretty wealthy. #isles
And these are the ones I can post. Some of them are truly brutal. But all this hate goes away when Bailey does his job and helps the team, which he has while playing on the top line this season.
It's a game, and you never can predict the outcome. Yes, the Isles need work on the power play. They have to shoot more and think on their feet better. But they can't all be John Tavares. And they're not.
