All across the NHL and beyond people are taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

There have been many players who have taken part in the challenge and I think it has been a clever and creative way to raise awareness.

If you want to donate to the cause I would suggest finding a local charity in your area to donate to. I find that when you donate locally more of your money actually goes to helping instead of paying for the bureaucracy of the larger organizations.

Here is a link that lists every NHL player that has been challenged to dump ice water over their head. The players that have accepted the challenge have video links.

Many Penguins have taken part in this challenge so I thought I would pass along the videos of those players taking the challenge, as well as some old friends from the past.

Craig Adams got things kicked off for the Penguins.

Sidney Crosby

What a true pro. Using snow that will certainly cool the water faster and then letting it marinate while stirring.

Pascal Dupuis

Thanks Daaaaaaan

Marc Andre Fleury

If you have to ask why Fleury is in a banana suit, you haven't been exposed to Marc Andre Fleury's personality to this point. Nice of Fleury to include some old friends.

Jordan Staal

Max Talbot

Max posted his video on mobypicture so embedding it didn't work. Here is the link

The Superstar did not disappoint. He did his best to class up the ice bucket challenge.

Chris Kunitz

Much like the Dupuis family, the youngest ones seem to sneak away from the chaos at just the right moment.

Bill Guerin

You knew Billy G would come strong with his challenges

Kasperi Kapanen

Could this be considered cruel and unusual punishment? Get some meat on those bones!

Rick Tocchet

I think being bald takes the ice bucket challenge up a few notches.

Paul Martin

Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me but that looks a lot like a Phish shirt that Mr. Martin is wearing. Sign this man to an extension right away.

We're still waiting on Geno and Letang and if they answer the bell I'll add their videos in as well.

Personally I think an ice bucket challenge would be perfect to wash away such a high quality hair product such as this

I enjoy these videos, I hope you do as well

Thanks for reading!
