Woo Morn'in Buzz: Wham Bam Thank You CAM!

CamJan is back in New Jersey where he belongs.

After being traded and playing for his native hometown team, St. Louis Blues, Cam Janssen will most certainly replace Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond as one of the New Jersey Devils enforcers. Coincidentally, both fighters are known for one of the longest bouts in recent memory.

I like this signing for a variety of reasons. For starters, it is a one year two way contract, which gives Lou Lamoriello flexibility with player movements on the roster. Secondly, Janssen is a fan favorite and memories of Janssen barking at Henrik Lundqvist still resonates in the mind of the hardcore Devil fans.

But Cam Janssen's biggest asset is that he is a charismatic character in locker room and will be asked to be the "response" if anyone were to antagonize Kovalchuk, Parise, or Brodeur.

Cam Janssen will bring 150% effort every night and hopefully his enthusiasm will be contagious with his teammates. Every team needs an energy guy that can bring toughness and little craziness.

That is what Cam brings to the table.
