Here are my observations from the Leafs first two pre-season games, or are they exhibition games? You make the call.

Joey MacDonald, very cool with the Bunny Larocque mask, I like it. Which begs the question, when is the Jiri Crha tribute mask coming?

The Palmateer mask gets used every night in the intermission, goalie goon contest. That's just not right.

Who's impressed me?

Besides Simon Baker on The Mentalist (what an awesome show).

Viktor Stalberg. You could down a pint while Jason Allison skates from end to end, with Stalberg, you're not getting in a shot of water. This kid has wheels, he knows where the net is.

I'm thinking a 2009-10 version of the Kid Line, why not Stalberg, Hanson, Bozak?? Forget about who is centre, who is wing, you improvise, adapt, over come. That's a Leafs line, write that down.

Much to my disappointment, Jason Allison has not taken power skating lessons. His days are numbered.

I believe that Phil Kessel will be a Maple Leaf on Oct. 1st.

Savard assisted on 22 of Kessel's 36 goals last season.

Matt Stajan is not Marc Savard, even though they have the same initials, 20 goals for Kessel as a Leaf, is pretty damn good as they finish 6th in the conference.

Write That Down.
