The Sabres are not in a hurry to trade 23-year-old center Peyton Krebs, who was one of the main components of the Jack Eichel trade with Vegas a couple of years ago. However, a source tells me that there is "active interest" in Krebs from "at least three clubs".

The source said "there's a strong belief that Krebs was "underused by [Don] Granato and is capable of much higher output with the right change of scenery". Krebs posted just 17 points (4g, 13a) in 80 games this past season but spent much of the year on the fourth line.
