The Detroit Red Wings posted a write up on Lucas Raymond. His scoring and on ice presence were a highlight this past season. Not only did the right shot winger eclipse 30 goals, but didn’t shy away from physical play. An interesting bit of info came from his Swedish teammate at the IIHF tournament, Victor Hedman. Per the article:

According to Hedman, who won the Norris Trophy, voted as the NHL's top defenseman in 2018, Raymond has become a topic of discussion in pre-scouting meetings prior to facing the Red Wings.
"One hundred percent," Hedman said. "That's just common knowledge. When you go against top players like that you emphasize playing tough against him. It's just fun to see him go out there and execute plays."

Always nice to hear who players pay attention to. In 7 games with Sweden Raymond has 4 goals and 3 assists. He continues to raise his stock for Detroit and amongst his peers. Many of us are waiting to see the deals Raymond and Seider ink this summer.

Yzerman and co have a lot to do this summer and it will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Raymond is certainly a bright spot for the organization.
