Calder Cup Playoffs: Phantoms vs. Hershey Bears -- Game 3

Trailing two games to zero in their best-of-five Atlantic Division semifinal series, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms need a home win in Game 3 on Wednesday night (7:05 p.m. EDT). to extend the series. If necessary, Game 4 will be at the PPL Center on Saturday.

The Phantoms have not played poorly overall in the first two games of the series, but Hershey has shown why it boasted the AHL's top record during the regular season. The Bears, by far, have been the more opportunistic club offensively. They've also received the superior goaltending with Hunter Shepard stopping 60 of 62 shots through the first two games of the series.

The lone Phantoms goals thus far have been scored by Tanner Laczynski (late in Game 1) and Hunter McDonald (first period of Game 2). Through four playoff games -- two versus the WBS Penguins and two against Hershey -- Cal Petersen has an .882 save percentage. The Phantoms allowed five goals (one ENG) on 16 shots in Game 2 against Hershey.
