Quick Hits: May 4, 2024

1) Calder Cup playoffs: Needing a win to tie their best-of-five Atlantic Division semifinal series with the Hershey Bears at one game apiece., the Lehigh Valley Phantoms are backing in action on Saturday for Game 2. Game time is 7:05 p.m. EDT. Th3 game will be streamed on AHLTV (subscription required). On Wednesday, the Phantoms suffered a 2-1 setback in a mostly evenly played game. Hershey goalie Hunter Shepard was the difference for his team. Tanner Laczynski notched the lone Phantoms goal on a nice feed from Bobby Brink.

2) QMJHL playoffs: Alexis Gendron scored two goals (including the gsme winner in OT) and took first-star honors on Friday as his Drummondville Voltigeurs closed out their playoff semifinal series on Friday with a 3-2 victory in Game 5. Drummondville will now advance to the championship round.

3) OHL playoffs: The London Knights were unable to close out their playoff semifinal series on Friday as they lost on home ice, 4-2, to the Saginaw Spirit in Game 5. In a losing cause, Oliver Bonk (assisted by fellow Flyers prospect Denver Barkey) scored one of the London goals.
