CBJ - Fantilli Injury
The Columbus Blue Jackets suffer yet another injury loss to the top rookie of the organization.
Adam Fantilli has suffered a left calf laceration from the skate blade of Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann.
Incidents like this happen in hockey. This was regular contact in play exchanged between the forwards. Puck battles are common course.
Fantilli, 19, has 27 points in 49 games played. At time of writing, he is third in team scoring, only trailing Johnny Gaudreau and Zach Werenski.
He is in the first year of his entry level contract and has primarily been a top six forward for his short tenure in the league.
This could be the time to promote rental Jack Roslovic. He can get his value maximized and flipped for future assets for the club. If it’s half retention, more can be bargained for in negotiations. That’s how deals work for rentals.
Team Arnett
Congratulations to Columbus captain Boone Jenner on being Team Arnett all wekeend with captains Connor McDavid and Leon Drasatil.
Columbus v Cincinnati
This could be a thing. According to NHL Commissioner, Gary Bettman, in his annual state of the league address. Cincinnati was one of a handful of American cities reported with league interest just weeks after the application for Utah was put forth by the club. This news also is an attempt to cover the upcoming London press conference upcoming today.
Olympics
Victory for the players. We see the modern players represent their countries in Italy for 2026 and France for 2030. Players including Zach Werenski, Alexandre Texier, and Elvis Merzlikins may qualify for their countries.
World Cup
Country representation begins in 2025 with a four team knockout tournament between USA, Canada, Sweden, and Finland. Building these rosters will be a sight to see.
