Former Red Wing and Lightning player Adam Erne is on waivers. It is no secret, I wasn’t overwhelmed with Erne but as I look at the depth, the propensity for injury, etc, I don’t know if Yzerman wouldn’t at least look at the possibility.

He’s physically strong, a depth player, 775k salary, and an I don’t know in terms of if that’s something Yzerman is looking to address. I think one or two players are trying to push through “tweaks” right now, I don’t know for certain. One thing to his credit, Erne goes out and does whatever he’s assigned.

This isn’t necessarily any sort of high excitement move, but let me know your thoughts. We’ll see if anyone takes a shot on a low risk acquisition that may fill a depth need for the right club at a pretty friendly price.
