Quick Hits: September 22, 2023

1) Throughout this weekend, the Flyers will be conducting multiple daily scrimmages ahead of Monday's preseason opener in Newark against the New Jersey Devils. Each of three practice groups/teams will scrimmage twice each day. There are also respective practice sessions scheduled at the beginning and end of the day.

2) During this morning's second scrimmage, right wing prospect Tyson Foerster crashed heavily into the boards and got up slowly, favoring a shoulder. However, he shook it off and remained in the simulated game.

3) Zayde Wisdom, coming off a strong Rookie Camp, scored a nice goal in the day's first scrimmage. Rookie defense hopeful Emil Andrae set it up.

4) The Flyers announced their 2023-24 local TV broadcast schedule earlier today. Additionally, they formally announced the hiring of Flyers alum Todd Fedoruk as the new full-time color analyst on the team's radio broacasts in tandem with veteran play-by-play announcer Tim Saunders. "Fridge" has stepped in for longtime broadcaster Steve Coates, who retired at the end of last season.

This season, 73 of the Flyers' 82 games during the regular season will be televised. All 82 games will be available on the radio on either 97.5 The Fanatic or 93.3 WMMR. The latter will broadcast games when there'd otherwise be a time conflict with a Philadelphia 76ers broadcast.
