Carter Mazur got hurt in the opening game of the tournament. Lower Body injury, there is “hope” he will return.

It seems like the injury bug strikes in Traverse City fairly often. Hopefully his removal from the game was in part precautionary. If it’s a groin tear or ACL/MCL it could be a bumpy first year for the newly signed pro.

More than anything, it looked like Detroit has another group that needs to be more aggressive in getting pucks through (and in) to the net. Too many breakaways and missed opportunities. Hopefully tomorrow will see a team more prepared and ready to try and make their mark.
