There is no question at this summer is going to be exciting around here.
There’s a saying that you can’t change all the players so you change the coach. In actuality that means you change a lot of the players because coaches and general managers like to have their own guys.
The one exception might be in New York, where the Rangers bringing in a more offensive minded Coach may actually suit the players more than Gallant had.
We will definitely see some major changes in direction elsewhere…..

Patrick Roy in NY?
I didn’t think of this as a real possibility, but aftr seeing how Quebec handled Seattle in the Memorial Cup Playoffs there is a growing feeling that Roy’s time is now. Anaheim could also be very much a factor with Roy.
The biggest issue is Roy convincing management that he won’t be such a loose cannon and bail at the last second…. Drury MAY be the one GM who has a solid enough relationship to trust that wont happen again..
