We learned that Jiel Eriksson Ek had surgery on a broken bone in his leg. He skated for a few days and ultimately made his triumphant return to the Wild lineup but that was short lived lasting all of 19 seconds.

Ryan Hartman had a knee injury that may require surgery as well we will learn more about thw injuries that the Wild players sustained in the next days and weeks.

Either way the results are the same. Another first round exit.

No time to cry about what was, only time to look ahead at what is to come.

The Wild have some real issues to address with free agency and severe cap restraints.

Marc-Andre Fleury wants to return for his final season, but is that in the cards? Will Bill Guerin try to move the decorated netminder to free up some cap space.

Will he move Alex Goligoski and or Jon Merrill again to provide some cap space to upgrade the roster?

It is not time for knew jerk reactions but the entire coaching staff should be on notice as this is not their first go round without success.

We will see...
