Yesterday the Wild saw their 14 game regulation point streak come to an end at the hands of the mighty Boston Bruins. The shorthanded Wild held their own through most of the game and actually scored four goals against that vaunted Bs defense. Unfortunately fir the Wild two of those four were reversed due to video replay, when it was deemed the Wild zone ntries were offside.

Those are the rules, and don't get me started on the offside challenge...and not just Yesterday but in general it should be looked at deeper, let's leave it at that.

Dean Evason had his troops ready and engaged from the start. He made some very good in-game adjustments and one in particular paid immediate dividends. Electing to start PP2 unit in the third period resulted in Oscar Sundqvist's second goal in as many games drawing the Wild within one with much of the third period left.

They could not get any closer and the Bruins took advantage of a line mismatch with their top line on the ice against the defense pair of Jon Merrill and Calen Addison.

That fourth Bs goal was the killer as Addison ventured to the right side of the ice as Merrill had engaged his man near the boards. Addison then went down to the right post as Marchand circled behind the net. Addison then tried to cross in front of the goal to intercept Marchand and he was too late for the perfect feed to Patrice Bergeron, who made no mistake.

Some good news today is that the Wild will get Jonas Brodin and Jake Middleton back on their blueline and Brandon Duhaime up fro t. Marcus Foligno could have returned but Evason said they they are going to be a little more cautious with him today.

Evason said in his post game remarks yesterday that the Wild would get four players back today, but with Foligno sitting not so sure that math was correct. Unless of course one of the o two Wild injured forwards Gustav Nyquist or Kirill Kaprizov were going to miraculously be deemed healthy, which is highly unlikely.

Washington is still holding onto faint playoff hopes and will come in hungry. The Wild on the other hand are looking to clean up the mistakes from yesterday and continue their late season charge.
