The Panthers will kick off the All-Star game festivities with some awesome nostalgia when the puck drops on the Alumni Game tonight!
I have said it in the past…I’m just not an ASG/skills competition guy. I think the whole presentation is just kind of cartoonish and silly — and that’s coming from a pro wrestling fan. Though I am excited to see what Florida does with this opportunity. That being said, I’m always down for an alumni game and the Cats roster they assembled looks really fun:

I like the idea of mixing in guys like Booth, Boyle, Fleischmann, Lu and Yandle. These guys still (for the most part) have some gas left in the tank and can keep the pace of the game going a bit.

The Alumni Game is a separate, ticketed event from the Coral Springs Hockey Festival. Parking will be available at Panthers IceDen with overflow at Sawgrass Springs Middle School across the street.
A very limited quantity of $50 general admission tickets for the Alumni Game have been released to the general public and can be purchased HERE. All proceeds benefit the Florida Panthers Foundation.”
The bummer is that I’m guessing this won’t be televised? I’m thinking we’ll most likely have to wait for an edit/highlight video, unless I missed info about it being aired. With the ASG sweaters looking great, I have very high hopes for the alumni tarps.
Not only that, but I really want to see Lu’s original Pink Panther mask back in action!
