I have updated 8 players so far today on the rumor chart…and added Sean Monahan.

On Sean Monohan…

He has been skating with the team for a while now and could return at any moment. I talked to some scouts who are hoping to see him over the next few games…. In the two weeks prior to his injury in December he was scoring on a point a game pace, with 8 points in his last 8 games played. His experience, leadership combined with the fact he is a center makes him VERY attractive going into the deadline.

The Jets, Avalanche, and Devils all are going to be watching him closely…

On Timo Meier…

Plenty of folks now reporting the Devils and Timo as a strong possibility…LeBrun is also saying the Sabres have interest….that is true as well. However the Devils may be more likely to pay the Qualifying offer in the offseason….
