The Panthers did something in Toronto they haven’t done a whole lot of this season and that was going into OT. Still should have won that one, but at least they got a point out of it…

They’ll face off in somewhat of a Florida reunion tonight when they meet Sam Montembeault and Evgenii Dadonov in Montreal.

The Habs have been playing some good hockey as of late and are 4-2 in their last six and beat both the Rangers and Jets in back-to-back action — no easy task there.

Both teams tonight share defensive woes, with Florida surrendering an average of 3.41 goals a game, and Montreal at 3.62.

It feels like it will be a battle of the goalies this evening. Monty is playing well for MTL as of late and is making his sixth start in a row. On the other side of the ice, Bob will be making his 17th start in the last 21 games and he’s been looking good as of late. With both teams defensively inept, there could be a lot of rubber flying at these guys.

The Fitzgerald watch is still on…let’s see if Barky can get going after scoring in Toronto.

It’s a big one tonight because the Cats have a chance to pull within two points of the Penguins for that last Wild Card spot with a win in Montreal.

Let’s do it!
