The Hawks are set to take on the red hot New Jersey Devils after dropping their last contest to the Islanders 3-0. The Devils have been one of the more entertaining teams to watch this season as they sit with a 20-4-1 record which is good enough to give them a share of the best recorded in the NHL.

It was just announced that Jonathan Toews will not play tonight due to a non covid illness and because of this the Hawks have recalled Lukas Reichel from Rockford. Reichel is having a solid season in the AHL putting up 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in 19 games. In order to make room for him the Hawks have also placed Petr Mrazek on the IR retroactive to December 3rd for his groin injury.
