In my other blogs this week, we saw the conclusion of the Columbus four game point streak, with wins over Philadelphia and Montreal.

This week is American Thanksgiving week, the beginning of the tire holiday season. There’s two home games and one road game that round this week, including a back-to-back with travel. Wednesday is Montreal; Black Friday is the New York Islanders; and Saturday is in DC against the Capitals.

The Jackets have made some financial moves by placing Zach Werenski on LTIR; Elvis Merzlikins on the IR; and recalling forward Trey Fix-Wolansky as a result of 10 points in his last 3 games with the AHL. This gives the Jackets more roster space to have depth to rotate and analyze what is available with most of the regulars out on defense and their primary scores additionally be unavailable.

With moving out of the basement and being 4-1-2 on their previous 6 games, they have jumped out of the basement and passed the Senators and Sabres. Next is Nashville
, and may happen this weekend.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Jackets can get Jack Roslovic back after missing the weekend games due to illness and also being a healthy scratch last week.

The rest of the injuries are still some time away, I’d say expect more as the beginning of December approaches.

Thoughts on the week upcoming?

More to come…
