The MASH unit Rangers play game four of their five-game road trip tonight against the Sharks. Today, Alexis Lafremiere joined Ryan Reaves, Julien Gauthier, and Barclay Goodrow on the COVID protocol list. To replace Laf on the roster, Lauri Pajuniemi was recalled from the taxi squad, though Anthony Greco, a native New Yorker, who was added the other day, could get the nod to play. Igor Shesterkin came off the list today but Alexandar Georgiev is expected to be between the pipes with Igor possibly starting Saturday vs. the Flyers. (10pm Update: Shesterkin led Rangers out on the ice in pre-game, starting in net)

Adam Fox and Chris Kreider were worthy additions to the All-Star team. For CK20, it's back-to-back games in which he has been nominated, Shesterkin was squeezed out by the divisional format, as each team has to have a representative. Artemi Panarin also was up for consideration while Mika Zibanejad is on the list for the final man voting.

New York gets an up close and personal look at Tomas Hertl. An unrestricted free agent after the season, Hertl could be target #1 in the trade market for GM Chris Drury, No guarantee he makes it there, as the Sharks are expected to pursue signing him long term. But if available, as Pierre LeBrun noted, the Rangers are one of the places to where he might accept a deal and he would fill several holes on the squad. Just hopefully no four-goal output again tonight.
