Just a few random thoughts that have crossed my mind at some point or another this season. Many of these thoughts may not hold any water and some are kind of out there. Hopefully there's still some food for thought as a couple of them could become reality in one form or other.
In no particular order of significance or sanity:
1) What if Marc-Andre Fleury decides he would like to stay in Chicago for at least another season? Should the Blackhawks re-sign him?
2) What if Jonathan Toews and/or Patrick Kane waive their NMCs? Should the Blackhawks trade them?
3) What if Seth Jones plays like a #1 defenseman for a majority of his 8-year contract? Or is it downhill after this season once that new deal actually kicks in?
4) What if Colton Dach ends up being the better overall Blackhawks forward than older brother Kirby as far as impact on a game? Or could both flourish in different roles?
5) What if Ian Mitchell ends up being the best out of what used to be a deep RHD pipeline starring Henri Jokiharji and Adam Boqvist? And does Mitchell have what it takes to be a solid top 4 in the 2nd pair?
6) What if the Blackhawks win the 2022 draft lottery? Would drafting Shane Wright or Logan Cooley be franchise altering?
7) What if Marc Crawford really is the interim head coach while Derek King is the puppet and associate coach? Does it really matter?
8) What if Eddie Olczyk does become the new Vice President of Hockey Operations? Or should any and all candidates have zero ties to the Blackhawks organization?

Next Game vs Rangers
The Blackhawks can avenge their Saturday night loss to the Rangers in the Big Apple with a win tonight in the Windy City. The homestand is brief as the Hawks head back out with an Eastern Canada road swing through Montreal on Thursday and Toronto on Saturday.

IceHogs Updates
Three of the top players for Rockford -- Lukas Reichel, Jakub Galvas, and Arvid Soderblom -- are now in concussion protocol. It's unclear which play got Soderblom concussed but Griffins defenseman Luke Witkowski was suspended 2 games for his elbow to Galvas' head.
Philipp Kurashev has been the 1C for the IceHogs with Reichel out while Cale Morris is backing up Collin Delia with Soderblom on the shelf. In yesterday's blog, I projected the Hogs blueline to look something like the below. Once healthy, Galvas should slot in for Ryan Stanton.
