I'm off to the rooms... Great Game!
TV from Pominville and Paetsch on Paetsch.
*******
Plekanec all alone on Miller. Where was the D.
*******
This game will come down to one thing:
Goaltending.
Miller and Price have been superb so far.
******
22-22 SHOTS ON GOAL THROUGH TWO PERIODS.
*******
The Vanek-Roy-Kotalik line have been buzzing Price's crease all night long....
Lindy has played with his lines with five to go in the second--- Goose is centres for Connolly and Max.
***
Ryan Miller just saved Buffalo's bacon--- Gilliame Latendresse was stopped dead to rights from 13 feet. Miller's glove was faster that Big Bill's hands on that one!!
******
I never realized that Carey price is 6'3" and 225. Big Boy.
*******
Michael Higgins PPG
******
Montreal PP-
********
Tim Connolly's second from Campbell and Goose @ 7:39.
*******
Sabres PP: delay of game Montreal.
Kotalik's point bomb denied by Price.
Buffalo are getting great own low pressure-- lots of movement and shots-- no goals--
*********
Latendresse finished his check on Brian Campbell along the right halfwall--- Lets keep an eye on Soup's right shoulder.
******
Buffalo won 62% of their faceoffs in the first period.
Roy 5-3
Goose 3-2
Hecht 4-3
Connolly 1-0
******
Ryan Miller has been a rock for Buffalo tonight. He's made 13 saves, most of which have come from scoring areas, in-close.
*******
Montreal wins shots on goal, 12-9 in the first period.
The Buffalo 4 minute minor gave Monreal a boost of adrenaline at a time when they badly needed one.Buffalo had just scored and they were lurking for their second when Tallinder went to the bin..
Credit to Montreal for withstanding the Buffalo blitz after the PP.
This gamje could easily be 3-0, were it not for stellar golatending from young Price. He stoned Vanek and Paille on high percentage scoring chances.
********
Paille breaks in all alone on Price----fires glove low-- denied. Great save by the rookie goalie. He was in perfect postion to make the save.
*****
Carey Price just stoned Thomas Vanek's cross crease attempt. Great save. Vanek was all alone and Price slid right to cover the bottom of the net.
*******
Buffalo successfully kills off the 4 minute Montreal PP.
***********
Tallinder takes 4 minute high stick @ 9:41.
Paille and Goose kill off the first two minutes. Pominville and Roy assist.
Hecht and Ryan are out fo rthe second two minutes.
******
Kostopolous off for slashing , Pommer threads a short pass to the halfwall to Max who finds PDerek Roy for the redirect in the slot.
Top shelf where Mama hides the cookies!
Price did not see the puck off Roy's stick.
Third game in an row Buffalo scores first. They are 2-0 in the previous 2 games.
Roy's 8th.
********
Mike Ryan takes the game's first penalty-- holding on Latendresse behind Price's net.
Good new, Andrei Markov is OK and in the ice for the PP.
********
Al Kotalik upends Markov 43 seconds into the game.
Markov was playing a loose puck in his corner, head down, and 12 came in and seperated the man from the puck.
Right now, they are working on Markov on the Habs bench. He has not gone to the Montreal room, which is a good sign.
Montreal are now left with 5 D, until and if Markov comes back healthy.
*****
Scratches:
Stafford.
Gorges and Grabovski
******
Me and me boy, Boom, will mix it up at 7pm.
Whatcha gonna do, when Garth and Boomer drop the People's Elbow On You??!!!
***
Can't wait to see Carey Price up close and personal. This kid is a #1 and he will be a star in this league for many moons to come.
Ryan Miller will do his dead level best to spoil the kid's first trip to B-LO tonight!

The boys are oiled up and ready to rock!
Habs fan is a passionate and demonstrative guy! Love the enthusiasm! ]
Any Habs lassies in the mood?
