There has been a ton of talk surrounding Rod Brind'Amour and there is NO doubt that Ron Francis and Seattle are involved in this. But it appears at this hour that Brind'Amour is about to become the coach for the Carolina Hurricanes for a long, long time.

I am hearing that the Canes are preparing to make an announcement...

On Zach Hyman...

There are reports today that Zach Hyman may indeed be leaving Toronto...I am not hearing this at all, but there is indeed some spin machinery at work here... At the end of the day, the Leafs feel Hyman is hugely important, especially when it comes to balance and grit, and Hyman knows that there isn't another team out there where he could thrive and fit as he does for the Leafs...

But Hyman's group wants it to be known that it is not yet a DONE deal. And there will be more posturing...to come..
