The Carolina Hurricanes played four games last week and are dealing with injury trouble. Here’s a recap of news and notes from the week.

HURRICANES WIN TWO OF FOUR GAMES

The Hurricanes picked up six of a possible eight points last week. Carolina split a two-game series with the Tampa Bay Lightning at the start of the week and another series against the Florida Panthers later on. Both of Carolina’s losses came in overtime.

TERAVAINEN COULD BE NEARING RETURN

Teuvo Teravainen could be getting closer to returning to action. He’s practicing with the team and recent quotes and reports seem to suggest that he could be playing again soon. Teravainen has been dealing with a concussion, having played just one game in the last two months.

HURRICANES DEALING WITH INJURY TROUBLE

Teravainen isn’t the only player who’s missed time for the Hurricanes. Jesper Fast, Jordan Martinook, Brock McGinn, Petr Mrazek and Brady Skjei are have all been sidelined as well. All players missed games last week, while McGinn hasn’t played in three weeks due to an upper-body injury.
