Very small card with only 6 games on a Sunday! All the focus will be on how the Vancouver the Canucks respond to their first game in over 3 weeks.
Bruins, Rangers and Flyers are all looking to keep winning as they fight for the final playoff spot in the East Division.
**I have started to research teams that come off at least a 5 game road trip and how they fare in their first game back home.** Its 10-8 to date.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are rested, either sitting at home or on the road while their opponent plays the night before. 20-9 over the last month of tracking it! The under is 17-11-1 in these spots. Boston fits the system today, Caps off a game yesterday afternoon while Bruins are rested. NYI fits the system too!
Scenario #2 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 74-49. Buffalo fits the system today.
Scenario #3 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 34-25-2 when teams play on the road back to back nights. NYI/Boston fit the system tonight. NJ/NYR and Pitt/Buffalo fit the system today.
Scenario #4 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 95-69 in that situation.

Caps/Bruins – Noon – Play Scenario #1. Caps last 6 games have gone over the total! Bruins wont forget the 8-1 beatdown from a week ago. They have split the 6 games head to head and 4 of 6 have gone over the total this season.
NYR/NJ – 3PM – Play Scenario #3. NYR has won all 3 during this 4 game stretch head to head. They have won the last 5 straight as well.
Pitt/Buffalo – 3PM – Pitt has won all 5 meetings but Buffalo is not a gimme anymore and are playing solid hockey! 3 of 5 have gone under the total this season.
NYI/Philly – 630PM – Play Scenario #1. Philly won the first 3 meetings, NYI has won the last 4 meetings head to head. NYI 3 in 4 nights and not good on the road.
Vegas/Anaheim – Vegas has won 5 of 6 head to head and 4 of 6 have gone under the total this season.
Leafs/Canucks – 7PM – Canucks haven’t played since March 24th! Leafs have lost 3 in a row but this has been a home dominated series with the Leafs winning the first 3 on homeice, then the Canucks winning the last 2 on homeice. 4 of 5 have gone under the total this season.
