A massive card tonight with 12 games today! Saturday’s always give us a full days worth of hockey and we got some nice match ups lined up. Flyers/Pens go at it for the third straight game in the rubber match at 1pm EST. Jets/Habs meet up again after a great 4-3 OT win for the Jets on Thursday night. Flames/Oilers is always a heated up match up while the Blues/Kings battle it out with LA pushing a playoff spot.
Seven rematches from Thursday night and three rematches from last night should mean for some spirited hockey! We have a WHOPPINNG 13 system plays today!
Scenario #1 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 42-25!
Scenario #2 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 15-16 when teams play on the road back to back nights.
Scenario #3 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 59-44 in that situation.

Flyers/Pens – 1pm – Flyers have won 3 of 4 head to head meeting this season but all 4 games have gone over the total.
NYR/NJ – 1pm – NJ has won 2 of the 3 meetings head to head and all 3 have gone over the total, can the Devils snap their 4 game losing streak? Devils are horrible on home ice!
Sabres/NYI – 1pm – NYI have won all 4 meetings this season. Can Buffalo snap their losing streak?
Panthers/Preds – 2pm – Panthers are dynamite on the road and have won 2 of the 3 head to head match ups this season.
Leafs/Canucks – Look for the Leafs to rebound from Thursday nights loss as they are super on the road and have won 3 of 4 head to head match ups this season. Three of them have gone under the total.
Wild/Yotes – Back to back nights for these two teams as Minny won the opener.
Jets/Habs – Jets have won all 3 match ups against the Habs this year, two of them in OT!
Ducks/Avs – Ducks have lost 9 in a row, back to back nights head to head and all 3 have gone under the total. Avs have won 2 of the 3 head to head meetings but both in OT. MacKinnon was out last night too. Ducks worth a shot at +210!
Jackets/Stars – Stars have lost 9 of their last 10 and the Jackets have won 2 of 3 head to head this season.
Blues/Kings – Back to back head to head, LA lost 4 in a row now after 6 straight wins, LA won had the first 3 game head to head until the Blues won last night in OT.
Flames/Oilers – Oilers have won 2 of 3 meetings head to head this season and are coming off 3 straight losses to the Leafs.
Vegas/SJ – Vegas has won both meetings this season and after last nights wild game, its beyond clear that these two teams don’t like each other. Reaves left the game with an injury too.
