Today it was announced that the Oilers had claimed 33 year old goalie Alex Stalock off waivers from the Minnesota Wild. Stalock posted a 0.910 SV% in 38 games last season with the Wild. The Edmonton Oilers have had a bit of a wild ride with their third goaltender position over the past months. From Anton Forsberg to Troy Grosenick each being claimed and reclaimed off waivers by various teams.

With Smith now healthy the Oilers have a good tandem between him and Koskinen but if one should go down for any stretch than Stalock is an excellent #3.
