Second verse to be same as the first. In this case, tomorrow's lineup against New Jersey will mirror that of Saturday's win. For those of us Rangers' fans and have a sense as to how coach David Quinn operates, this isn't a big surprise.

Tony DeAngelo, who was punished for his poor play and unsportsmanlike penalty in the first game of the season, by skating with the extras and a healthy scratch Saturday, is out of the doghouse. ADA practiced with the regular team today but will not dress against the Devils, as Quinn will go with the same lineup that shut out the Isles. No word has been given if DeAngelo will dress against Pittsburgh on Friday, but I would expect that to be the case, barring another shutout.

Quinn:

New Jersey should be a strong test. MacKenzie Blackwood was brilliant in both Bruins' contests. Jack Hughes added 14 pounds of muscle this offseason and looks like a completely different player, aided by him now being adjusted to the league. Of course, old favorite Lindy Ruff is coaching New Jersey and their system was effective against Boston.

The power play, which has struggled a bit initially, was slightly revamped in practice. No Kakko or Chytil on the second unit, but that likely will be adjusted during the game tomorrow. The first unit remains the same with four right-handers and one left-handed shot. The problem is that Mika and Panarin like the one-timer from the left dot, so moving Zib to the other side hurts that ability. Place Zib on the same side as Panarin to create quick opportunities. We could see Strome slide to the second unit with Buch or Laf moving up to create move balance and quicker puck movement. Lemieux gives the team a big body in front of the net, so I can mildly understand his presence. But Kakko and Chytil have more talent and when ADA returns, will be interesting to see if he or Fox or both are on the first unit and who moves to the second.

Maintaining the theme of the same verse as last game, Alexandar Georgiev will be between the pipes. Hard to sit him after his performance the other night. Granted, he was helped by two posts last, but he made the key save when needed early, let up few rebounds and settled the team down when needed. Igor Sheshterkin should start Friday or Sunday against the Penguins, but Georgiev has earned the nod Tuesday.
