A bit of a stretch to call the 41-year-old center a “prospect”, but Jumbo Joe is staying sharp in the Swiss League and has five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in 5 games with HC Davos.

The 18-year-old Villeneuve led all QMJHL defensemen with 58 points (9 goals, 49 assists) last season, but has gotten off to a slow start with Saint John this year, with five points in 13 games.

The big Russian winger continues to impress in his return to the KHL after a year with the Marlies, leading Yaroslavl Lokomotiv with 16 points (7 goals, 9 assists) in 23 games. Korshkov may have to bide his time with the additions of Jimmy Vesey, Wayne Simmonds, and Alexander Barabanov this season, but it is very possible that he will be part of the Leafs picture in 2021-22.

The Leafs 2020 second and third-round picks are playing regularly in the Finnish SM-liiga. Hirvonen has played in all 14 games for Assat Pori and has five points (3 goals, 2 assists). Niemala is one of the youngest players on Karpat and has a pair of assists in five games. Both were not part of Finland’s roster for last week’s Karjala Cup but could be in the mix for the upcoming 2021 World Junior in Edmonton next month.

The 20-year-old winger was selected 211th overall in 2018 and is a long-term developmental project. Kizimov has played four KHL games for Torpedo this season but is enjoying some success with Lada Togliatti in the second-level VHL.
