Los Angeles Kings prospects Quinton Byfield and Jordan Spence have been invited to Team Canada’s selection camp for the 2021 World Junior Hockey Championship.
Quinton Byfield, selected No. 2 by the Kings in the 2020 NHL Draft, is one of 25 first-round NHL Draft picks invited to take part in Hockey Canada's national junior team Sport Check selection camp. https://t.co/EOapMx0AFQ
Byfield was selected second overall by the Kings in this year’s NHL Draft and his name on the list certainly comes as no surprise. He was a member of last year’s gold medal-winning team and while he had just one point in seven games during last year’s tournament, you can expect those numbers to rise this year, as he takes on a larger role.
Spence, a right-handed defenseman, was selected by the Kings in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft.
Big congrats to @jordanjs224, one of 46 players invited to #WorldJuniors selection camp in Red Deer, Alta. starting November 16th.
He plays for the Moncton Wildcats and is off to a hot start in the QMJHL this season, with four points in five games. Given Canada’s defensive depth, Spence will need to fight to earn a spot on the team.

Will Jordan Spence make Team Canada's tournament roster?
