The Vegas Golden Knights take on the Dallas Stars in game two of the Western Conference Round Robin, from "The Bubble" in Edmonton. Follow along for play-by-play observations and analysis, as the action takes place.

VGK WINS 5-3: Robin Lehner still perfect as a Golden Knight. What a comeback for the Golden Knights, down 3-1 going into the third period.

🚨 VGK ENG: William Karlsson makes it 5-2. Great play by Nicolas Roy to break up the Dallas chance.

P3, 18:52: Bishop pulled.

GOAL STANDS AND IT WAS EPIC. Carrier's first career playoff goal. 4-3 Golden Knights with five minutes left in the game. What a comeback.

🚨 VGK GOAL (under review) 14:52: William Carrier is led into Ben Bishop as he skates out front. Carrier gets a puck, backhands it between his legs, and in. This goal should count, but it could go either way due to the contact. Bishop did lose his stick on the play.

🚨 VGK GOAL! 3-3 tie: Bouncing puck, Vegas takes advantage, and we have a Nate Schmidt sighting. The team is hard to beat when Nate is involved offensively!

🚨 VGK GOAL! 3-2 Stars: Mark Stone with an impressive individual effort to score just inside the pipe. This may be the swing they needed and why Stone makes so much cash.

Period Three: New defense pairs for the Golden Knights. McNabb with Martinez and Theodore with Schmidt.

Start of the Third Period: Golden Knights need a jump start. They need to come out quick and pressure the Stars.

End of the Second Period: Dallas leads 3-1. Golden Knights started shuffling personnel. Nosek line stayed intact. Third period should be interesting. They need something to give.

P2, 17:52: Refs reviewing puck that was close to going in under Lehner. Puck didn't fully cross, no goal.

DAL GOAL, 3-1 Stars: Corey Perry uninterrupted out front, screens Lehner, while redirecting the puck in. VGK PK is now 0/1.

VGK Penalty: Vegas heads to the penalty box for the first time. Shea Theodore for hooking. Just about nine minutes left in the period.

DAL GOAL, 2-1 Stars: Jamie Oleksiak with a bomb from the point. Takes the lead less than a minute after their first goal.

DAL GOAL, 1-1 tie: Failed Roy zone exit, broken up by Joe Pavelski leads to a Dallas Stars goal. Pavelsi scores off the skate of Alec Martinez.

Start of Period Two: DeBoer goes with the Roy line. Nosek line had very little going on. Numbers looking rough for the Roy line too, as far as Corsi For % goes. Karlsson line has sparkling CF numbers.

End of the first period: 1-0 Golden Knights. Reilly Smith misfired a 2-on-1 pass right before the period ended. Back and forth action with both teams having moments. Stars blocking nearly every shot. VGK PP wasn't great, Stars PK looked solid.

P1, 17:31: Stars kill the penalty. 2/2 on the kill.

P1, 15:31: Corey Perry takes a dumb, frustration slashing penalty.

P1, 14:57: Surprisingly uneventful start to this one, aside from the Stephenson goal.

Period 1: Zach Whitecloud playing confidently in his first playoff game. Joins rush and takes a decent wide-angle shot on goal.

1st Period 11:54, 1-0 VGK: TV timeout. Both teams having their moments. It's conceivable that the Stars are controlling play. Stephenson's goal remains the lone tally.

Lack of skill is evident on the fourth line for VGK. They'll need to be good in their own end, bad zone exits.

For his first game back in, Tyler Seguin is playing a heavy game. Right as I type that, William Carrier smoked Alexander Radulov in the VGK zone.

VGK PP: Alec Martinez was cross-checked into the boards. Boarding is the call. Theodore unit takes the first shift.

VGK GOAL: 1-0 VGK! Chandler Stephenson beats Ben Bishop five hole! Just 1:04 into the game. Stephenson used the d-man perfectly to screen Bishop.

We are underway. Golden Knights lose the opening draw. They're doomed. Lehner stops play and the Karlsson line - with Schmidt and McNabb on D - jump on.

3:39pm: Multiple players take a knee during the Anthems. Freedom of Speech and expression, I'm on board.

3:36pm: Both teams going with depth guys to start. Pete DeBoer loves starting with his bangers to set the tone.

Starters:
Vegas:
Carrier - Nosek - Reaves
Holden - Whitecloud
Lehner

Dallas:
Cogliano - Faksa - Comeau
Oleksiak - Heiskanen
Bishop
