The NHL is set to open training camps this week, and the Coyotes have announced the following players will be at their training camp when it opens.

The teams are allowed to bring 31 players inside the Bubble. As a Western Conference team, the Coyotes will play their games in Edmonton.

No real surprises here, but it's nice to see that Victor Soderstrom is on the roster, though I doubt he starts.

There are 32 players on this list, however, so I guess at least one of them won't be making the bubble which is curious.

Coyotes Top 50 Players of All-Time

When we last left off, former Coyotes captain and all-time leading scorer Shane Doan had been named as the 7th best member of the Coyotes.

Many would have ranked him first, and that's fair, but I wanted to go by talent and single seasons, and not just longevity.

Today, coming in at #6 is Keith Yandle.

With 311 points in 555 games, Yandle is the Coyotes seventh all-time leading scorer, second among defensemen. He is 5th in games played.

Yandle played eight seasons with the Coyotes, and he was a 4th rounder who became a superstar, arguably the best draft pick in franchise history.



During the height of his powers, Yandle was among the NHL's best defenseman and was always crazy underrated. His 2010 season was his best, scoring 59 points.

Today, coming in at #6 is the 1997 John Woo masterpiece Face/Off staring John Travolta and Nicholas Cage in career best performances.

According to Wikipedia, the only Oscar Face/Off won was for Sound Editing, which is a joke, but what can you expect from those old stuffed shirts?

Face/Off is without a doubt one of the greatest action movies of all-time, but it's also got A-list actors taking what has the be the single most ridiculous plot in movie history dead seriously.

It's overlong, it's ridiculous, it makes almost no sense and yet it's amazing in every way a movie should be - it's fun, it makes you care, and it makes you think.

And that sound effects editing? Goddamn! (Just kidding, I have never watched a movie and thought about the editing of its sound effects).

The craziest thing I learned while researching this movie (OK reading one wiki page for five minutes) was that the lead roles almost when to Arnold and Stalone.

I don't think they have the chops to pull it off frankly.

This is the best movie Cage ever did, and that is saying a lot, because he's a genius who has dozens of great credits.
