When the Coyotes traded Max Domi to the Canadiens for Alex Galchenyuk, I thought it was a good trade.
In fact, I called it an "absolute heisting."
(The best part is) Getting rid of Domi the person. Domi is not a cool guy. Spoiled rich kid with terrible opinions would be an apt descriptor. Even though he's loaded, I'm betting he still uses a ton Axe Body spray. If he doesn't call people "bro" every third sentence, I'll eat my hat!
Whether you're talking personality, talent, potential, size, position, defense, offense, or all around anything, the Coyotes win this trade. This is a very bad trade for the Canadians.
I still am no fan of Max Domis, and I do think he's overrated.
But you can't spin this - it was a bad trade and it worked out terribly.
Though hopefully recent events help Domi rethink some of his worst opinions, there is no doubt that today he is a better hockey player than Alex Galchenyuk who has gone from potential star to healthy scratch, and is now on his fourth team in two years.
Bad trade.
Bad analysis.
But today i will make up for it by naming Max Domi as the 36th best player in Arizona Coyotes history.
Somehow Domi is the 23rd highest scorer in team history, with 135 points. I mean, the guy is no Ladislav Nagy, but who the hell is?
Too bad back in 2013 the Coyotes didn't draft Josh Morrissey or Shea Theodore, but in retrospect, maybe they should have kept Domi.
My dislike for Domi caused me to fail in my ability to objectively analyze the situation. Or maybe it was a perfectly logical trade at the time, and it just didn't turn out.
What can you do?
Domi is #36 on our list.

Jackie Brown is the best Tarantino film.
It's also one of the best movies ever made. It has everything a good movie needs: a great soundtrack, and tons of violence.
Bridget Fonda don't hurt none either.
For introducing me to the Delfonics, this movie should probably be ranked higher.
Introducing me to Bobby Womack is almost as good a favor to me, as the guy who introduced me to my wife.
110th street? It's the only street, ___!
Jackie Brown has the best cast, it's the funniest, the soundtrack is top notch, and Max Chery is one of the greatest characters ever.
