Does the Break Favor the CBJ?

Well, does it?

The Jackets have had injuries up and down the line up. They have had important pieces missing all season. This team has lost leaders, think Seth Jones and Cam Atkinson. They have been missing important secondary scorers like Josh Anderson and depth defense players like Murray.

Will the minimum 3-week break benefit the Jackets more than other teams?
The rest will do everyone some good to relieve nagging injures that don't keep players out of the line up. It will also have a rejuvenating effect on weary legs.

The big question is who will it most impact? Will the time off have players rusty from not being in game competition? All are good questions. I cannot wait to see the answers as the Jackets are in the midst of the playoff race.

But will we get a chance to see?

Is there a chance that the season gets cancelled completely? The NCAA cancelled March Madness. While that may not be huge deal to hockey fans, it is a big news to sports in general. The NBA and MLB have also closed down until April.

The other threat is one of the CBJ catching the virus. That would be devastating to any team if a player became infected and spread it among the team. As fans, we wait and watch.

Do your best to stay healthy and entertained while the world quickly changes.

Good Luck and Stay Healthy...
