I have spent the day on this and I could have spent over 20 hours calling all the leads that keep popping up. I just realized it was 3pm and I haven't posted yet!

So here is the latest to the best of my knowledge...

* I have talked to no less than 19 teams.
* There are at least 12 teams who have talked to NJ about this.
* There are 7 teams who appear the most serious at this point.
* Of those 7 teams I am hearing 3 have talked about an extension.
* I would venture that at least 5 teams have talked extension.
* The seven teams who have talked the most are kind of in three tiers.
* The Panthers and Coyotes are in the top tier, and the favorites at this point.
* The next tier has 2 teams: Calgary, Colorado.
* There are three teams who are getting more serious by the moment...the Isles, Canadiens, and Predators.
* NJ wants a first-rounder, a current roster player (preferable on Defense with experince), a goaie prospect, and a few other picks or and A level and a B level prospect.

more to come...I wish I could fine tune this more, but I wanted to at least start here today...this will continue...
